Keeping the ancient traditions alive: TLM-Friends proudly supports St. Anne’s as they build for the future of the Latin Mass in San Diego!

At the Friends of the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM-Friends.org), our core mission is simple yet profound: to support the priests, parishes, and communities who faithfully preserve and sponsor the Traditional Latin Mass. Today, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we are thrilled to share a wonderful milestone in fulfilling that mission!

Recently, TLM-Friends board members Holly and Jim Romo had the distinct honor of presenting a check for $600 to Fr. Lyons, the pastor of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in San Diego, California.

A Pillar of Tradition in San Diego

For nearly two decades, St. Anne’s has been a vibrant spiritual home for the faithful in the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. Re-established as a personal parish by Bishop Brom on October 7, 2008, St. Anne’s specializes exclusively in the Extraordinary Form of the Mass (the 1962 Roman Ritual), offering the sacred liturgy and sacraments in Latin with the utmost solemnity and reverence.

The parish is proudly entrusted to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP). The FSSP is an apostolic society instituted in 1988 with the approval of Pope St. John Paul II, dedicated to preserving the rich liturgical heritage and traditional books of the Church.

Looking Forward: A Growing Community Needs Direct Support

The beauty of the traditional liturgy at St. Anne’s has drawn so many souls that the parish has officially outgrown its current location on Irving Avenue!

To meet the soaring spiritual needs of the local Latin Mass community, the parish has successfully purchased a larger property in San Diego. They are currently hoping and planning to build a beautiful new facility that fully accommodates their growing flock.

Because St. Anne’s depends entirely on free-will offerings to sustain its daily operations and fund this massive building endeavor, community support is more vital than ever.

How You Can Help

We at the Friends of the Latin Mass are profoundly grateful that, through your continuous financial support, we can play a small part in helping St. Anne’s build for the future. If you would like to join us in supporting their expansion and ensuring the Traditional Latin Mass continues to flourish in Southern California, please consider making a direct contribution.

You can easily set up a one-time or recurring gift through the official Saint Anne Catholic Church Online Donation Portal.

Thank you to Holly, Jim, Fr. Lyons, and most importantly, to all of you who make donations like this possible. Together, we are keeping the ancient traditions alive for generations to come!

Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat!
