Party Like It’s 1962!

TradFest 2024 is coming. Make your reservations now!

Mark your calendars for the first annual Picnic Fun Day for Traditional Catholics in the San Diego area. TradFest ’24 takes place on Saturday April 6th at the Green Oaks Ranch in Vista California.

The gates open at 11AM and the festivities will run until 5 that afternoon. We’ll have a Traditional Latin Mass at noon, offered by Father Peter Adrian. There will be games, TLM swag items for sale and–we have it on reliable rumor–food! The address is 1237 Green Oak Road, Vista CA 92081.

Speaking of food…We’ll have the the main courses sizzling on our array of grills, but we’re hoping that many of you will show up with side dishes.

Among the events will be feats of strength like the awe-inspiring Tug-of Trads contest. We may even have a Trad version of Frisbee Football, if somebody can convince Father Peter to loan us his saturno for an hour or so…

In addition to those of you generous enough to show up with some tantalizing side dishes, we also need everyone to RSVP so that we can properly plan on feeding the lot of you. Call or text James Donovan at 908-276-5529 to reserve your spot today!

(No Big Surprise) TLM-Friends St. Paddy’s Day Party a Foot-Stomping Success!

Their enthusiastic step dancing was picked up by nearby US Geological Survey seismographs!

A big thanks to everyone who supported TLM-Friends by attending our combined St. Patricks’ and St. Joseph’s Dinner at the elegant yet functional Knights of Columbus Hall in Escondido.

This dinner was one of those rare occasions where diners could experiment with the ecumenical (in the culinary sense of the word) combination of corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, pasta and meatballs! Thanks to TLM Board member Anthony and the Knights who cooked all that great food. We had lilting music from an incredibly talented Bagpipe Guy (so inspiring that Anthony demonstrated a rare and incredibly difficult Italian Jig/Irish Tarantella), and jaw-dropping entertainment from one of our local step-dancing schools. The dance exhibition was so amazing that many of us older folk actually developed a case of shin splints just watching them!

TLM-Friends Elects New Board of Directors (not nearly as exciting as it sounds…)

We’d like to quickly introduce our TLM-Friends Board of Directors. We have some new faces in addition to the usual crew of “repeat offenders.”

First, we want to thank our outgoing Chair, Daphne Yuhas! Thanks Madam Chair; you got this whole outfit rolling at the height of the Traditiones Custodes crisis!

Something-something blah-blah-blah news from the TLM-Friends Board of Directors…

Our new Chairman is Nick Cesare! Jim Donovan is dual-hatted as Vice Chair and Treasurer. As our new secretary, Holly Romo will be experiencing finger cramps as she furiously takes notes at our notoriously long-winded Board meetings. Our at-large members round out the roster: Jan Donovan, James Sebastian, James Romo, Terry Nelson, Anthony Petrozelli (also dual-hatted as our official cook and dancer), Francis Aspa and Barbara Vollick.

The TLM-Friends will continue in 2024 with our mission to support those who say, pray, and chant the Traditional Latin Mass!
