We’ve all seen the horrific nonsense which slaps us across the face every June. This year, it seems particularly bad. The question is: what can we as faithful Catholics do about it? How can we fight back in a manner which is befitting our call to be witnesses to the Gospel?
His Excellency, Bishop Athanasius Schneider has an answer. He’s called for a Crusade! Now, before you get concerned that we’re talking about a crusade against this or that group, woke corporation, or whatnot, rest easy. It’s not that kind of crusade.
The Crusade of Eucharistic Reparation is a lay sodality run by OnePeterFive in partnership with Benedictus and Mass of the Ages.
This crusade, called by Bishop Schneider back in June of 2020, was originally a response to the way our Eucharistic Lord was being profaned during the covid crisis. (Remember those “Hosts to Go” pre-packaged inside little baggies, laid out in neat rows on a self-service table in church lobbies?)
Now his Excellency has also add the intention of the reversal of Traditionis Custodes.
As the article at OnePeterFive (1P5) tells us:
A crusade is a spiritual war called by the clergy, but waged primarily by the laity. It is time to fight for the central dogma of our faith, which is under attack perhaps more than any other dogma: the Real Presence of Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar.

To make reparation to God for the sins committed against the Blessed Sacrament
The restoration of the Latin Mass in the Church.
Requirements
One hour Adoration per month in reparation for the sins committed against the Blessed Sacrament.
Pray at least once per month the Prayer of the Crusade of Reparation to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus written by Bishop Athanasius Schneider
There are optional devotions and efforts you can add to increase the efficacy of this crusade, again available for your review and consideration at the 1P5 website. At our local TLM community (in exile) which most of us here at TLM-Friends.Org attend, Father will be performing an Investiture ceremony following this Sunday’s Mass. You may want to talk to your local Padre about doing something similar!
