A Blessed Milestone: Celebrating First Holy Communion for the North County TLM Community!

Celebrating faith, family, and tradition as the North County Latin Mass children receive their First Holy Communion at St. Anne’s!

May 30, 2026, was a truly joyful day filled with faith, family, and sacred traditions! The children of the North County Latin Mass community in Pala, California, celebrated their First Holy Communion at St. Anne’s Parish in San Diego. These bright young parishioners spent nine dedicated months in catechetical training, diving deep into the profound meaning of the Eucharistic celebration while attending the Traditional Latin Mass with their families each week. To help mark this unforgettable spiritual milestone, the Friends of the Latin Mass gifted each child a copy of SANCTUS, SANCTUS, SANCTUS: An Introductory Latin Missal for Children from TAN Books. We couldn't be prouder to share in this blessed event with these beautiful families!

At Friends of the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM Friends), our mission is to foster, preserve, and promote the celebration of the traditional Catholic liturgy. Located at 2337 Irving Ave, San Diego, CA 92113, St. Anne’s Catholic Church provided the perfect, awe-inspiring setting for this special sacrament. Established in 2008 and entrusted to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), St. Anne’s is a personal parish that specializes in the Extraordinary Form of the Mass according to the 1962 Roman Ritual. With its solemn traditions, reverent Latin liturgy, and beautiful sacred music, St. Anne's offers a welcoming home for sacred milestones like First Communion.
